Uses SWD camera app available on google play store. Turning on the camera requires a connection to the reversing light, so putting it in reverse turns on the camera and its WiFi. I connected using a Samsung smartphone running Android 6. I've also connected to the Fire OS (modded Android) via a Kindle Fire tablet. I was also able to connect a tablet running Android 8. I don't use Apple, so I can't try to connect to an Apple product. Because your display is literally "your display," the image quality is that of "your" display. I was able to stay connected to Wi-Fi at least 50 feet away from the camera. To connect to Wi-Fi I had to scan for available networks and search for the SWD network. Of course, if the car wasn't in reverse, the wifi didn't work. I was only able to connect to the SWD network when reversing. Every time I went out of reverse I lost connection. Every time I wanted to use the camera I had to find the SWD network and then connect to it. Overall, the camera and built-in Wi-Fi are good. Unfortunately this was difficult to use as you have to reconnect every time you turn on the camera. A workaround might be to connect the power supply to a constant current source instead of the reverse light. This means the camera (and display) is on all the time. Your customer service tried to solve this problem with me. They suggested some fixes which unfortunately didn't work for me. I have updated my review to reflect their customer service and the quality of their gear. As I noted in my original review, the connection works well if you connect to an always-on power supply.
