Hatchbox is a well known brand in FDM 3D Printing world, usually one of the first to be recommended every time the, "What's the best filament?" question shows up. With a solid reputation behind them, the expectations for their resin is high.As typical for a new resin, I ran through a R_E_R_F (Resin Exposure Range Finder) test on my AnyCubic Mono X and a quickly found a solid setting (see attached image). For a model, I used a Egyptian Cosmetic Vessel of Bes, courtesy of the Scan The World project. The print came out great, no adhesion problems or other weird artifacts. Supports came off easily, and after cleaning with Mean Green and IPA, the model was ready for curing. Unlike a few resins I've tried out, the model was not tacky to the touch after cleaning. No issues were observed during curing (see attached video), so it was ready for paint. Before paint, I intentionally pushed the model off the counter and let it hit the floor - no damage.Overall, I found the Hatchbox to be a good resin. No problems were stumbled upon, and the smell is not as intense as others. Pricing is about average, not bottom of the barrel or over the top, the same as with their filament. If there is one thing I'd change about it, it's the plastic bottle. The wide mouth on it is cool, but there isn't a stopper which come with other brands. Also, having snapped the cap on several other bottles before, I really do prefer the metal bottles.
