Review on Kobalt Locking Pliers 2 Piece Set by Chase Dunn

Wrenches, not pliers

These are not pliers; they do not replace a matching canal blocking forceps. They're really more like self-adjusting wrenches. At the same time, they do their job well, since the movement of the jaw is somewhat free of play. Also, the jaws are thicker than regular pliers, which sometimes makes them a bit unwieldy for some applications. If you're a serious tool user, you probably have a set of other wrenches as well, so on the rare occasion where limited play in the jaws or jaw thickness becomes an issue, there's usually another option on hand. So if you just want inexpensive self-adjusting wrenches, that's fine.

Pros
  • Vices and locking pliers
Cons
  • Piggy bank prize
