Never heard of the Simple Deluxe before but took a risk buying this fan because of the high CFM, it's used in the garage and we live in Florida once the humidity takes care of it. A fan is useless if it cannot push air. We only took the 18-inch model because I needed a little less space. The fan is very easy to assemble and really good for a high speed fan. We had a 20 inch hurricane fan mounted on the wall in the garage in the house we just sold that made twice the noise and cost twice the price. I will be using this fan almost every day during the summer which will last 6 months here and hope it will last at least 5 years.
