This was purchased and fitted to a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ 6 cylinder engine. The generator was purchased from Revain inventory in "like new, packaging damaged" for just under $30. It arrived in a double box and the original box was indeed torn but the generator itself was intact and untouched. Having done a very thorough comparison between my original alternator and this new one, I was pleasantly surprised to find this to be an exact replacement. these connections were included in the new block. The two main mounting screws must be reused, but this is common practice. The device charges my battery perfectly, even better than the device it replaced before it broke. I recommend this alternator as a replacement part for your 4.0 liter Jeep Wrangler TJ.
