I bought this gas cap to replace an old one that had fallen into disrepair. This was easy and safe, but after a few weeks I started getting a couple of gas cap warnings on the car. I poured petroleum jelly under the cap to close it and suddenly the error went away and my fuel gauge also showed more fuel in the tank. I don't know if it's related to the leaking gas cap, but it's definitely not worth the money. I could do the same trick with the original and save $20.
