Review on πŸ”§ The Ultimate Motorcraft FL2062 Oil Filter: Ensuring Optimal Engine Performance! by Eddie Gordon

Reduced o-ring complexity

Also just changed the oil on my 2018 Turbocharged Lincoln MKX 2.7L for the first time. I watched a lot of YouTube videos so I knew what I was dealing with. The only difficulty was removing/installing a small o-ring at the bottom of the canister stem. I purposely bought a couple of picks as suggested to make the job easier. The little one didn't come off too badly, mostly because it was hard and dry, and actually just broke in half after a while with the pickaxe going through. It's okay because it's going to be thrown away anyway. I struggled to fit a new O-ring. I don't think holding it with one hand and using the pick with the other is the right way to go. I poked myself twice with the pickaxe trying to move the o-ring down. I then placed the canister on the table to support it with a rag underneath and then started pulling the ring down. I finally got over the bulge and it snapped into place! You have to use some force to stretch it and move it at the same time. I think I tried to be too gentle with him at first. The new one is soft and pliable so I think you can play with it without any worries. If using a pick, do not cut the ring with the tip of the pick. Make sure the point is always under the ring itself to avoid damaging/weakening it. If I can change the oil, anyone can!
