Review on Continental ContiCrossContact LX2 215/60 R17 96H summer by Micha Bialik (Eagle) ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

Instead of the factory-installed bridges, 225/65/17 tires measuring in size were put on the Suzuki Grand Vitara. At first, Wishlist intended to go in a more gentle direction. I saw several reviews that said "the Japanese are not the same anymore," so I thought about purchasing some European brands. As a consequence of this, I decided to go with two different models: the continental and the Michelin Latitude Cross. The remaining 10% of my trip is comprised of gravel and sand. I felt that the Michelin tread was designed more for off-road use, so I went with Kontik. Despite the fact that he sat down on this rubber both in the sand and in the mud rut, he was still able to get out of the situation on his own. Even though it is a Grand Vitara, I would not have had any choices if I had been driving it on regular street tires. I like rubber. It's a good option for SUVs, which spend the vast majority of their time on asphalt. Although I notice a lot of automobiles that are shod in Michelin Latitude Cross tires, this type of rubber does not seem to be very well liked by drivers for some reason. supplement dated 14.09202222 This review was written in April of 2022, which is equivalent to approximately 2.5 years ago. Now, after 4 years of rubber operation, I can say the following: - I found its weak point; this is the sidewall (every summer I drive 500-800 km on gravel, and this gravel does not spare the sidewall, traces of wear are very visible). - However, with my mostly urban use, I really like the rubber; it is very soft, has excellent braking, and is good for taxiing. In my opinion, I would select the same option once more. addendum dated 06/14/2022 It started to feel the pounding of the steering wheel more frequently. At the time of the tire fitting, it was discovered that the running part of the right front wheel had a hernia. The running parts of the other three wheels also had beating rubber, but to a much lower degree. The installers came to the conclusion that the tires needed to be replaced. Nevertheless, the cumulative effect of years of reckless driving on a broken grader has been felt. There were also little cracks on the portion that did the jogging. The mileage on the rubber over the course of this time is 41,000 kilometers, and it was manufactured in the year 2022. The tread residue is acceptable even at this point. In the future, I anticipate the next rubber to be something more robust, such as the new Dunlop AT5.

Pros
  • 1. Quiet; 2. Not a lot of noise 3. Outstanding braking performance on both dry and wet pavement 3. I have high hopes for an adequate resource (thousands of kilometers). Despite the fact that the tires have already traveled only 20,000 kilometers (since August 2022), there are no obvious symptoms of substantial wear.
Cons
  • The protector has a quality that causes a large number of pebbles to become lodged in it.
