A different product from what is shown.

The pan I received is not the one in the picture. The product description says 12.5 x 7.5 inches, the one I received says 8.3 x 13 inches on the packaging which it measures to the outside edge of the cooktop. With handles, it is 16 inches long and weighs 6.8 pounds. Interior is 7.75 x 12.25 inches including a very shallow 1/2 wide drip groove along one long edge. I would have preferred not to have a drip groove but I think it's small and shallow enough to not get in the way too much. This pan was purchased to fit over the center oval burner on my new LG range. The plan was to get a fairly small one so it can always stay in place and other burners can be used. , This one is a bit too big for that. You can leave the pan and put the pans on other burners. The 10 inch pan is slightly off center. When the pan is placed on the back of the stove, the 10" pan will stand up properly, but no more. But I found the pan small enough to stow on one of the back burners and leave the other 3 round burners. available for large pans. The surface of the pan is rough compared to the 5 year old double burner house it "replaces". But I think the house was rough when it was new too. I like it enough to try. well suited for an oval burner. We'll find out soon as we use the pan for breakfast and lunch several times a week. Note that all measurements are for the flat side, never use the grooved side, but the grooved side is similar to the flat side (same dimensions), also has a 1/2 inch drip groove. Update: I've had the pan for a few weeks now. The original coating made the food taste less pleasant, so I tapped it with 120-grit sandpaper until the coating came off. It was pitch black and had an unpleasant odor, the same flavor it imparted to food. I continued sanding with the random orbital sander until all the tabs were knocked off. The color at that time was brilliant silver. I then seasoned it and it turned out a nice reddish brown, just how it should be. The capacity is fine, you can fry 2 eggs or 3 slices of french toast at a time, or 2 pancakes, or 2 grilled cheeses, or your favorite homemade scrambled eggs in a ham pan. I've had no issues with food sticking and the food tastes great after using butter, bacon, butter and various meat fats a few times. The small size makes it easier to clean and store than a two burner model. Setting the heat is much easier with 1 oval burner than 2 round ones. The reason I use cast iron is so I can use my metal tools and the flavor it adds to the food. The best tool I've found is the Lee Valley Stainless Steel Spatula. It doesn't look like much, but it's a great spatula.
