I don't use it as a rug.
There are one or two small flaws, nothing serious. Good quality. I didn't buy it as a rug but it's a very good blanket. Actually quite warm. With a woolen blanket and knitted sheet, I got a little sweaty while sleeping in temperatures between 0 and 12 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't know how good the carpet is, but a great blanket.
