Special resin for additive manufacturing

I've managed to get some very fine details on my Anycubic Photon Mono with this resin, but there are things to note. After curing, this resin becomes hard and brittle with very little flexibility. It's quite strong, but its fragile nature breaks rather than bends. I tried several exposure times and found that this resin is quite sensitive to exposure times. In the end, I settled on the Burn IN Layers setting: 12 layers, 45 sec; Normal layers: 50 ยตm, exposure time: 4 s. and the rest is standard. All of this in a room that is very stable at 67 degrees Fahrenheit. With long exposure times like 8+ seconds it has become almost impossible to remove fragile miniatures from their stands. Fast shutter speeds of less than 3 seconds resulted in deformation of the base and unsuccessful prints. Again, this all happens at 67 degrees Fahrenheit and fairly low humidity. According to my results, the detail was excellent. The downsides are that this resin is fairly easy to degrade before curing. I printed some very fragile skeletons (20) with lots of thin arms/legs and broke LOTS of arms/legs (8) by removing the supports even when using the hair clipper. I've now tested very fragile miniatures and wasn't surprised by some of my problems (I haven't broken nearly as much with other resins). A very unscientific feeling was that this resin is more brittle (albeit more detailed) than other resins I've printed with (mainly Siraya Tech Fast and Elegoo Rapid). The resin had a very slight odor to me and I am printing in a small room with only normal ventilation. It has a fairly runny consistency, similar to thick sour cream, and is very prone to persistent bubbles (both small and large). I ended up waiting about 20 minutes after shaking and pouring the resin before I could start the print. I haven't really seen this with my other resins which cleared bubbles in about a minute. I use Mean Green to clean my prints first with a brush and tub then Mean Green in an ultrasonic bath for 3 minutes and then rinse. Spray them with isopropyl alcohol to remove the last resin and cleaning agent (which may leave residue). Cure in a UV strip aligned in the box for about 10 minutes. I'm not sure if this will negatively affect my results. I made sure to cure my prints immediately after cleaning. This is because others have mentioned that impressions can crack if not cured immediately, although I've never seen this happen. So my recommendation is: 1) Avoid using this resin if the prints have very fine, fragile details. 2) Use this resin for fine details. 3) Allow some time to set up this resin as it seems to have a narrow usability window. I will reserve this resin for my larger prints and use other resins for fragile miniatures. I probably won't use it as a base resin, but more for prints that benefit greatly from finer detail.
