This is the perfect charging connector. The body and lock nut are made of plastic, but strong enough. The supplied rubber cover can be removed if desired. The cable connections are good and tight. Unlike other reviews, the switch controls the LED but also turns off power to the port. The fast charge feature works well on my Android phones. I wasn't sure if this would suit my needs but I'm pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Edited to add: If you have a 2007-2013 GMC Sierra (and likely Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, etc.) this will work for you. You'll need to trim the asshole very slightly with a razor knife and instead To insert the socket and screw in the locknut, place the locknut behind the bezel and screw in the socket. This is necessary because our trucks have traction control and that weird little useless storage bag between the outlets. However, I highly recommend these outlets.
