I used this transmission filter to upgrade my Pontiac G8 GT. To completely replace the GT transmission pan you will need: a Camaro transmission pan (http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-24250062-Equipment-Automatic-Transmission/dp/B003YOBMWE/ref=pd_bxgy_auto_img_z) and a transmission pan gasket (http: //www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013FLAT6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_16). Just throw away the old pan, collect the liquid, remove the old filter and replace with all of the above. Make sure you use a new refill fluid (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055EALW8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_18). You will need to buy two gallons as this transmission pan holds more fluid. The reason for the upgrade is a more fluid medium and a wider throat on the filter to avoid starvation. Everything fitted perfectly and the whole process was painless. Just make sure you fill in enough liquid after sealing everything.
