This is a very strong mesh that I used to cover the metal shaft of the fireplace table so I could insert glass around the fire ring. Let me explain, I bought an Endless Summer, GAD860SP, LP Gas Outdoor Firebowl mantel with a slate/marble mantel and wanted to use fire glass instead of the lava rock shown in the photo. This mesh allowed me to use some of what I would normally need to fill the hole in that center piece. I laid it across and cut it to the size I wanted, covered it with mantel glass and it makes the mantel look sumptuous with glass but at a fraction of the cost. Residual use has protected my plants from deer because it never rusts or rusts. very malleable.
