I installed it on a 2004 Avalanche. You must use the MAF sensor adapter as a female connector with the new hose. The bracket that connects the chrome tube to the case is not welded in the correct position. I made a clamp to connect them. Otherwise everything else was direct. The instructions are vague, but if you have a little mechanical background you can figure it out. It seemed more responsive to the accelerator pedal. I'll check the mileage. I have a new camper so I needed a little more power.
