I bought 2 of these monitors mainly because I wanted all my monitors that I connected to my iMac to be the same 2560 x 1440 resolution. It was super important to me. I've done a lot of research on monitors and what to buy and which are 2560 x 1440. I found the 27" Asus PB278Q pretty good for my needs so I ordered 2 of them. What I like most about them is the resolution but not only that, the monitor has so many options like portrait mode (the monitor (can be turned sideways for spreadsheets). The height of the monitor is fully adjustable over a fairly wide range. I mounted one of my monitors (the middle one) on a power switch block so it would normally be taller than the others, but this built in adjustment worked It's great. All of the external monitors, as well as my 27" iMac, are exactly the same height. The flexibility of this monitor is amazing. The colors and clarity of the screen are very bright and clear. If I could give it a 10, I would. For external monitors, this is one of them. Sure, it's a bit pricey, but Amazon is offering a significant discount, making it only cost me $469.99 per monitor instead of $700 per monitor. There are many ways to connect a monitor to a computer. Since I have an iMac, I had trouble connecting two monitors to my iMac. I did this via the Thunderport input with an optional 6-foot cable ($9.99) that I purchased from Amazon at the same time as the monitor. I bought 2 of these cables to connect to my monitor's displayport and the other end of the cable connects to my Thunderport ports on the back of my iMac. I had the option of using either DVI which I could use but I would have to buy a cable adapter for the TB connector so I figured a cable from Amazon would work better in my case. There were also HDMI or analogue connectivity options, if anyone chooses to do that I personally wouldn't. This monitor has speakers, but I wasn't interested in that since surround sound is already connected to my iMac, so I disabled the audio option on these monitors. The speakers weren't very good and I didn't buy them for the sound but for the picture quality and resolution. It's easy to press the physical buttons on the bottom of the monitor and the reason I like the physical buttons is because they tell you when you press them, not on other touch sensitive monitors and sometimes on these models, when you press them. press or not. You will know when you press these buttons on this monitor. All I can say is that you will love the look and feel of this monitor. You will definitely get your money's worth when you buy this monitor. Are there any disadvantages with this monitor? Well if I had to choose it would have to be that the speakers aren't as good as the standard iMac speakers, but that doesn't apply to me as I have surround sound on my system despite the iMac speakers sound great. These monitor speakers are not that good. If you have any questions about this monitor, please feel free to ask them here on Amazon. For me it's 5 out of 5 stars!
