Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Sea to Summit Big River Dry Bag: The Ultimate Ultra-Durable Roll-Top Dry Storage Solution by Carl Durant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality gear is hard to find. The Sea to Summit Big River Dry Bag is amazing!

I bought a 13 liter Big River dry bag. It works really well for me and I'm glad I didn't try to save a few bucks by going with a cheaper brand. I use it to put my phone/wallet/keys/snacks/sunscreen on when I'm out on the water for short trips. The meticulous and obvious quality of a dry bag justifies the investment in quality equipment! ADVANTAGES: Durable appearance. I don't think anything could break. - The top rolls up easily. If one day I don't put that much in my bag, I'll just keep folding it. - I like the 2 D rings on the buckle. I use a D ring and carabiner to keep my bag where I need it. Good thing there are 2 D rings and not just one. Also, the D-ring is big enough to use a fairly thick carabiner (like rock climbing). The buckle itself works fine. Not skinny. I've never had to use a repair buckle, but it's nice that they think so far ahead. - There are two side areas where a bag can be attached. - When I stow them away, I roll them up again. (below) as in the original packaging. The fabric doesn't fold in a way that would cause pressure if I leave it in the garage or at the bottom of a backpack for months. I also like the oval shape of the bag. I feel a lot of space is wasted in round bags. The oval shape is designed to prevent rolling and is easier to pack. That may be true, but I like the oval shape because it holds my gear better. The fabric is great for slipping in and out of a large backpack. CONS: Sometimes when I roll it up, the D-rings tend to "curl up" into a roll. - I don't think I have other disadvantages! Another HUGE plus --> I contacted Sea to Summit customer service and they were extremely helpful. They were quick, descriptive and insightful. I could really tell from their tone and message that they are active, enjoy the outdoors and are sustainable. I believe they are based in Colorado, but they opened the letter with the words "Hello!"
