Wow! Where has this cool thing been all my life?! Apple desserts, that's all! I've always shied away from making apple pies and apple pies because of the time and effort it takes to peel, core, and slice apples. My mom used to be very fast with a paring knife, but this little gadget beats mom's speed! In about 3 seconds the firm medium apple was well peeled without losing the apple's flesh and removing the thin skin. 3 pounds of apples were peeled in about 10 minutes or less (I forgot to keep track). The device is easy to use and clean, easy to lift and compact for storage. The suction cups work great on our granite countertop. The block is made of plastic, so I recommend handling it with care. I used this with a Prepworks 16 apple corer/slicer. What a great team!
