The tracer was very easy to use. All it needs is a slight stiffness. One tap to turn it on. Touch and hold to brighten the picture, touch and hold again to decrease the brightness. Press one to turn off. super easy. The drawing paper I use is quite thick and very easy to handle due to the darkening. No eye strain. I used it in a sketchbook. Because it's so thin, I can just pick it up and tuck it between the pages. I love how the tracing paper just stuck to the device so I didn't have to tape it to keep it from moving. I don't know if it works for all types of paper, but it worked for this one. I would definitely recommend it to a friend or give it as a gift.
