As part of a contract job we have to do a lot of scans. About 100 pages a day on average so I bought HP ScanJet Pro N4000 because I have always had good experiences with HP products and already have 3 of their printers. The price was right, including WiFi and 40 pages per minute. What a disappointment. Wi-Fi: This is a new product and none of the drivers and software provided by HP were able to work on any of our 3 laptops. Lost connection during scanning and throwing meaningless error messages. I gave up trying to get it to work after a day. Eventually I was able to get the Windows Scan app working, but then it would often terminate a 40-page run only to give me an error message saying "Something went wrong. Please try again". Speed: The 40ppm speed is misleading as the scanner would stop approximately every 10 pages and wait 5 minutes for the computer to finish processing, resulting in a scan rate of less than 3-4ppm leads. I am returning this product. I will have to spend more money for another supplier to test their products.
