Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive for old USB 3.0 technology

If it were 3.1 Gen 2, also called 3.2. I would keep I was looking for a faster USB version and Revain added this to my search results. I liked the form factor so much that I bought it thinking that 3.1 Gen 2 USB would be as expensive as this device. tricked me Once again, the Revain search engine didn't show what I was looking for and made me click somewhere else. Advantages. I really like the form factor and the bolt on legs which means you can attach it to anything with screws or rivets e.g. B. on the side or under the computer case, and it stays where you put it. Too many of these add-ons are littering my desk and I just hate it. I want everything to stay in one place and not require two hands to connect. number of ports. The crowd is huge. Powered: It has its own power supply, and while that means another pair of wires, it's power, and it powers the devices you plug into. The question remains how many of them it will feed. . It seems doubtful that all of these ports could deliver power at the same time. Another reason to return it. If I wanted USB 2 or lower for a mouse or keyboard I wouldn't pay for that many "powered" ports at this price point. minuses. I want the power input to be on the back. The computer was also in the back. In the last two cases, the front cable routing isn't as clean. I was planning on screwing it to the old Mac Pro's U-shaped leg on the bottom front of the case for a quick connection. The computer's bulk did not allow him to move and allowed him to control it with one hand. Additional power cords on the front would not have been my choice. I'd rather route them from the back of this USB hub to the back of my computer and tape the cable to the bottom of the case where they aren't visible. In any case. If they offer USB 3.1 Gen 2 with 10MB/s throughput, I'll buy it, even if it's distributed across all devices. Come to think of it, I would have only had a couple of ports to install on the front panel.
