I'm quite a fan of big name tools but these pliers are better than what I would call a big brand. I was in the middle of a move, very cold weather and our new house with a fenced yard was not enough to keep our two Saint Bernard puppies from escaping - both dogs are very large and heavy - they just pushed them aside a chain link fence in a corner and they were free. Well I grabbed these pliers along with some zip ties and went to the breaking point - I got caught on a fence post and was able to pull it closer to the fence post. I used all my strength and body to pull the fence as close as possible. The tongs wouldn't let go. While I was struggling with this tension, my wife quickly secured the fence to the post with the metal ties I have. secured four draws later - at least for now :)
