GARBAGE! - What happened to Carhart?

A quality thermal jacket is hard to come by these days, as you probably already know by reading this. There was a time when you could at least count on getting something more or less decent from Carhartt for a few bucks more, but that's not the case anymore! I have ordered different types of thermal jackets from several suppliers. I was sure that at least the Carhartt would fit and the rest could be used for the jersey. I was wrong. It should be a "black" shirt. When I opened the packaging I found that it was a gray-green-silver-graphite shade. The fit and build quality is terrible. Tacky in places, bulging in places. They appear to be irregular and overall it looks awful, especially when you put it on! I'm 5'10", 205', 34" waist, 15% body fat which is below average and have been lifting weights for over 20 years. You can see the Hanes product pictured alongside. Carhartt is a bit fatter. The fabric sits somewhere between old potato sacks and reusable groceries. I think you just can't buy high quality thermal shirts anymore, no matter the price, like jeans and all. If you still have to settle for lesser quality, buy the 3 cheaper options, they fit better, are actually BLACK and you won't get abrasions from wearing them.
