I bought one of those "fully adjustable" circlip pliers from Home Depot and they just wouldn't cut. Too flexible to feel when you have a ring and too thick to fit where you need it. These pliers from Knipex are the right tool for this. They're tough, tight, and precise so you feel what you're doing. Also, the pins are spread at the ends, which keeps the ring captive when you take it off. pleasure in use.
