The drill bit is strong enough, but the rod you buy extra on this page will bend the fourth time you cut the tile! As it was specially ordered here I was not able to leak and replace it at work (I cut 52 holes in tile and the same number holes in marble for a custom insert contract). Instead I had to go to Home Depot where I bought what appeared to be a very light Milwaukee bit and shank. I found this setup from Home Depot better than that beefy DAMO cutter. More water channels were cut into the Milwaukee bit, giving it fewer teeth but a much cooler cut and a thinner edge so the cuts were diamond sharp. Compared to that rather bulky thick lip on DAMO. Four small water channels on DAMO also quickly filled with tile debris. In other words, save yourself some money and maybe some heartache. Get Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or a Milwaukee cutting tool, and if anything goes wrong, it's just a trip to the store.
