Build quality questionable

UPDATE: January 5, 2017 Had to downgrade a star. I sent the tripod to Mefoto for repairs, which was quickly repaired and sent back to me (or so I thought). Walking around town tonight, I found that the ball head was not properly attached to the tripod. And then I found that the resistance knob was completely stuck and wouldn't turn. I tried rotating it a little more and then the tripod handle broke. I will be traveling to Iceland to see the Northern Lights and I have a tripod that broke twice. I am extremely disappointed. and very stressed that I have to find another tripod in the next few days. ****************************** Original post: - Fantastic size travel tripod that I used last year for mountain shots, sunrises, waterfalls etc. It is relatively light and easily fits in a day pack. Next time I'd go for the carbon fiber version to keep the weight down a bit - large size and relatively simple build. As with another reviewer, the screw-down legs don't open and close as quickly as non-tripod tripods. This was a bit annoying on my last trip, but I was able to manage and still shoot - with my Canon 6D+ 20-70mm F2.8 USM with no problems. Hang a bag on the bag hook when it's windy. My only complaint would be that the resistance knob broke after a year and now spins freely, making it awkward to hold the camera in tricky situations.

Cons
