Easy to use. I use it to make "vegetarian noodles" with long thin zucchini and yellow squash. In fact, I bought a second carrot curling iron to use as a "sharpener" for taper candles. I've been looking for something to put a spot on used candle cones and this item works so well I recommend it for that purpose too! A note: I'm left-handed, so my first impulse was to hold and twist the veg (or candle) in my LEFT hand and the carrot wrapper in my RIGHT hand. However, to actually see how the blade works, I need to turn it over and hold the carrot curl in my LEFT hand and the object I'm cutting in my RIGHT hand. It's okay, but at first it was a surprise. :)
