I was looking for a good monitor that could work with both my desktop PC and my Macbook Pro when I needed extra screen real estate. After a long search I came across this monitor. First let me say that 144Hz is the way to go if you want to play until you get it. For that reason alone I would recommend this monitor for the price. Below I will list some pros and cons of the monitor and try to answer some of the questions I had when purchasing it. Pros: Overall image quality for a monitor in this price range is great for all usage types (gaming, work, surfing, and showing). One recommendation I'd like is to adjust the picture settings to your liking when you receive it. - Stand. I really didn't think it was something I should care about, I mean it's just a stand after all. The one that comes with this monitor is way better than the ones that only offer a little tilt or height adjustment. Especially when you're working with minimal space, I was able to get it to work to my liking. - Speaker. Overall, the monitor and TV speakers aren't great, and I always recommend getting a pair of external speakers for a good setup. The ones that come with the monitor are above average and are good for everything you need. They won't blow you away with their quality, but they won't make you constantly think you need external speakers when you buy them either. All the technologies built in (FreeSync, 1ms response time, etc.) The tiny features that ViewSync was able to build into this monitor are awesome! I was just amazed at what I was able to achieve with some tweaking in the settings. Cons: - As with any TN panel, color accuracy is not very accurate in all conditions. So be aware that if you're by a window or in brighter light, your settings may need a little more tweaking than some of the most popular custom settings for this device. Notes: -RGB. To be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of RGB when I got the device. Even like someone who has their PC and all peripherals with RGB. The monitor has a backlight that is not very bright and not very adjustable. I highly recommend buying non-RGB if you don't need it and save some money. Aside from those taillights, I haven't found any other "elite" features you get with this one. - If you can, buy two. It's not a necessity, but rather something I would recommend to anyone. Dual monitors are one of those things you don't know are so useful until you have them. Especially if you're not into gaming, this is great for productivity. I'm a student and I really enjoyed having a text document on one side of the monitor and my research on the other. Does screen size really matter? One of the main questions I had when I received this was if I needed any additional real estate. Having settled on a 24" monitor I can say that this is the ideal screen size for a 1080p panel. Everything is crisp and precise but trying to stretch the same pixel density over a larger panel , would be noticeable, and it shows. Even on a medium-sized table: if you sit about 2-3 feet from the screen, the display is too big. I recommend a 24" display.
