This product is a great solution for point-to-point Internet access extension when distance or obstacles prevent Category 6 usage. I had to connect the internet to a shed about 300 feet from home. This product worked well and was extremely reliable. One of the devices has been running without problems for over two years and I have never had a device failure. Keep in mind that these devices are meant to be professionally installed, so the documentation that comes with it is sparse and likely insufficient for a novice user. However, there are some great YouTube video tutorials that walk you through the software installation process, as well as the hardware requirements, step by step.
