Amazing wireless hotspot product

I have a word to say. Wonderful. I can't believe the range these devices have. We had a situation where we needed to install surveillance cameras for a remote building. My original plan was to place one of these in the main building and the other in a remote building and set them up to communicate with each other. Then set up the network in the remote building for the cameras. The signal strength is so strong that I could set up a WIFI network from the main building that would reach all theโ€ฆ

second device, good directional wifi

My first device was struck by lightning (it happens a lot here). They are not lightning proof. :) This one is used to share our internet connection with a neighbor who is 300 meters away from us across some trees. I set it up as a normal hotspot and their Mac only has an internal Wi-Fi antenna, but they can still connect. It's only 6 Mbps, but it's better than the 0 Mbps you get without that connection. This first block was used to connect our shed to the house (for IP camera traffic). Thatโ€ฆ

Great product for Internet access extension

This product is a great solution for point-to-point Internet access extension when distance or obstacles prevent Category 6 usage. I had to connect the internet to a shed about 300 feet from home. This product worked well and was extremely reliable. One of the devices has been running without problems for over two years and I have never had a device failure. Keep in mind that these devices are meant to be professionally installed, so the documentation that comes with it is sparse and likelyโ€ฆ

A simple setup for IT pros works well.

Works better than expected so far. I bought 6 of these for a farm surrounded by pine trees and hills. I need to move security cameras and gate controls 1.5 miles from here. At 23dB (hot full power) that's over 1.5 miles. I plan to use the autorange settings to account for rain and snow. I also tested one attached to my Linux laptop to connect to a cheap AP Belkin router in my house. I used to be able to walk just 50 feet from my house. Now over 250 feet. With this m2 loco as a station in my car

excellent connection best in wifi hotspots

Using 2 devices as a wifi bridge, I send a 2.4 wifi signal 200 meters through a house wall and a tree and get a stable home speed connection Downloading at speeds of 45 Mbps, comparable to my home Wi-Fi setup, and 18 Mbps (my maximum download is 20 wired) with a bandwidth of 20 MHz. I'm happy with my requirements and it runs stably for several days with no disconnections and low latency. It has multiple surveillance cameras 24/7 and a separate hotspot works fine. I don't need a lot of bandwidth

  • Don't waste too much time

Works well and is an effective communications solution

This is a product that will work well when set up correctly. The learning curve seemed long to set up a connection with one side open for access and the other side acting as a station for the local router. One weird issue was that the ethernet cable lock somehow failed and I had to poke a few holes in the device and wrap the cable around it to keep it from falling out. It's probably right in the middle of the antenna. I turned Airmax off, set both devices to a fixed frequency, both at 20MHzโ€ฆ

  • Good product for the price
