Wanted something to add more ports to my new laptop which only had two ports on one side. Additionally, wear and tear on the laptop's main ports is also reduced as I'll be keeping this hub connected to it 90 percent of the time. The quality of the metal on the connectors seems to be poor, or they made the metal housing in the connectors too tight because the bottom half of the two connectors expand a bit. The buttons took a bit of getting used to as all the buttons for the top 3 ports and 4 ports on the side are all on the same row which was a bit confusing for me at first. it seems to have failed almost entirely. Nothing works even if all USB ports are enabled and my input devices are connected and working properly. My computer no longer recognizes the device even when powered because the light is on. NEVER buy from this company again. It looks like another Chinese scam company that only extends the lifespan of its products by a few months.
