Wanted something to add more ports to my new laptop which only had two ports on one side. Additionally, wear and tear on the laptop's main ports is also reduced as I'll be keeping this hub connected to it 90 percent of the time. With a memory card as fast as my 256GB 100MB/s Samsung card (U3) I bought here, it can transfer around 83MB/s with a peak speed of 120MB/s, which is a 4GB transfer possible in less than a minute. Well designed device with decent switches, good backlighting (blue LEDs) showing which outlets are on and a cord long enough for the box to be tucked away or on the side or can be carried up from even a large desktop. I was very happy to get this hub for my laptop at work. As soon as it arrived I plugged it in and plugged in my keyboard, mouse, mic and speakers and it worked great and was picked up straight away.
