The first thing that struck me when I received it was the lack of padding for the box. What should have ended up being a good tip is flattened out, resulting in a side ridge. Next thing I understand is that the bearings in it are very bad. When I tried to spin the tip with my hands, it was very slow and couldn't spin freely. I sanded down the tip thinking it was cheap and might need a bit of breaking in before it's lost. I was wrong. At some point while spinning the 6x6 round shell blank (first time using this center) I looked at the center and saw that it wasn't spinning. This actually created a friction burn in the wood. Not very"live" center.
