I recently bought this hub for my new MacBook Pro as it only has USB-C ports. This annoys me in the new Mac design because I have to lug around other external storage devices and adapters. I tested two hubs, one from VAVA and the other from Purgo. The Purgo concentrator has outperformed the VAVA in every way. It's small and made of durable materials. The most important feature is that this hub is compatible with my fast data transfer seagate time machine. The hub got warm at maximum data transfer, but felt warm, not hot. This hub also comes with a small protective case, which is handy since my computer takes me everywhere. I am happy with this purchase.
