The clip on this version fits easily and securely onto my 2014 JKU Rubicon and they look pretty good. I removed the grille which helped. Make sure you point them in the right direction. The wider part goes down. The only issue I had was the clips would peel paint off the inside of the slots like potato skins when pushed in and slid into place. I don't see any damage now that it is there, but it will need to be repaired if I ever remove the inserts. If I could do it again I would put some kind of tape around the edges of the gaps that protects the paint and is invisible once the inserts are installed.
