Review on Stanley 8-Inch Bi-Material Lineman Pliers: Versatile and Durable Hand Tool by John Bailey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good pay but not the best.

I use these pliers for twisting and cutting wire. So far I've used it to splice/cut a bundle of 6-14 gauge wire. The grip could have been a bit better to offer more leverage. I find that when cutting anything less than 12 gauge I have to squeeze the pliers firmly. It took a lot of effort to cut the 6 gauge wire with it; it would not be possible if I were a weak person. Overall I like these pliers but I don't see the sharpness and I think the handle could be designed a bit better for more leverage. The main reason I bought them was because I needed a pair of 8 inch linesmen. Overall, I would recommend these pliers for DIYers and people who don't work with a lot of 12 gauge wire.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
