Better price than other portable recorders

I compared this to another portable recorder that actually sold for a few dollars more but no hub. Unfortunately, this device only got 3 stars because it was inferior to this device in terms of price and functionality. This is the type of product that you will rate. I tested it on an iProda mini laptop that doesn't have USB-A ports. With this I could not only have a recording device, but also connect a keyboard and mouse to my KVM switch. I like that it can be powered from an external source via microUSB. Very important when connecting to a tablet or phone. The only downside to this is that if USB-C is the primary/sole power source, you won't be able to charge your device while using it. This is by no means the fault of the block, it just is. I wanted to test it and see how long it might last, so I connected my keyboard and mouse, and also inserted a microSD card with a Linux image into the reader. I was absolutely able to boot into a live Linux distro, had a working keyboard, mouse, and recorder, and had no problems. SWEET! Windows performance was exactly the same. In fact, given the very limited I/O, this hub has made it much easier to work with and reprogram this iProda laptop. What I would like to see on this device is probably 1 more USB-A port out of 3 that would allow the use of a keyboard, mouse and USB stick or other device. But I'm not complaining one bit. Anyhow, this is an excellent device and a great price considering its price compared to traditional portable drives. This one gets 5 stars from me and I totally recommend it for your OTG needs.
