The included batteries are good value

Many reviews have rightly complained about the batteries draining after a short period of time. After looking at the batteries, I decided (without seeing the rating) that they were going to die soon. I replaced them all with good quality lithium batteries. I hope these continue. The comment that the flashing light is like a strobe light is a reasonable comment. I covered the light with black tape for what is installed in my bedroom. Helped reduce strobe, but not perfect.

Pros

The battery powered unit is quick and easy to install without an electrician. A button checks the device or silences the alarm. Disable low battery alarm, silence low battery alarm for up to 8 hours
