25 years of climbing trees and doing it myself. I wanted something I could just buckle up and go. Some information on this device said this length has a latch on the end of the anchor (saddle) but it is a ring as in the picture. The built in elastic will take a small hit from a dropped saw, but it will also decrease the length and if you have long arms you may run out of elastic before you get to the cut. I will attach the locking carabiner to the anchor ring as my saddle has a ring and I use the clamp end for my workload. The device is well made and should not offer any surprises in use or insurance.
