These are amazing shoes at any price. I have been a road racer for 23 years and have only used Sidi since 1976, have never trusted any other manufacturer. I switched to trail riding about 6 years ago while still using Sid MTB shoes. I started Down Hill 2 years ago, what a rush, but I just kept climbing. I took a chance on the Giro Privateer R HV (High Volume) sneakers. These are well made shoes and very comfortable. Great shoes for trail running and if you are comfortable good shoes for downhill. The HV last width is perfect for me with foot width D or E. All the other gyros were narrower and SMALLER than my street size. I'm a shoe size 10 to 10-1/2 and had to buy a size 45 (US 11 as listed in the chart). I bought my grandson a pair of the same model for enduro racing and he loves them. The buckles are removable with a single screw, so they can be swapped out, just don't look for a supplier just yet. I would recommend these shoes.
