3 velcro system is the best

This is my second pair of SPD shoes. I ordered them a size 45 as I'm US 10.5 and they fit just right, maybe a little tight. Shoes are narrower. Compared to the Shimano SH-M089 shoes, which had a snap system at the top and a cross strap in the middle that always got in the way of my crank, these shoes are a definite upgrade. The 3 velcro system really lets you dial in your preferred tightness and they are quite stiff so you really feel the power transfer. I like the fact that the clear plate is…

Great shoes! for shoes

I'll start off by saying that I'm an avid roadie. I drive an average of over 4,000 km per year. My last pair of shoes were the Soecialized BG which were a bit tight on my toes and often caused numbness on long rides. I wear a 13 US which is a 48 but I ordered a 49 and I'm glad I did. They fit great and I have plenty of room for my toes. The soles are stiff and have excellent power transmission. This shoe is very comfortable. Another thing I love is that the cleats sink into the shoe better than

Nice colour, attractive and well tailored shoes mtn

I wear 11/11.5 on NB and Asics so I ordered 46, removed the OEM insoles and added a good aftermarket replacement ($12). , so that the insoles fit perfectly ! I do this with all shoes. No more tingling in your toes or pain in your feet. After about 10 hours of riding, including 3 rides of 2 hours or more each, including some steep climbs in loose terrain, I can highly recommend this shoe for mountain bike road cyclists. The sole is fairly stiff, minimal flex (I don't feel it on 187) but no heel…

Very good shoes for any money.

These are amazing shoes at any price. I have been a road racer for 23 years and have only used Sidi since 1976, have never trusted any other manufacturer. I switched to trail riding about 6 years ago while still using Sid MTB shoes. I started Down Hill 2 years ago, what a rush, but I just kept climbing. I took a chance on the Giro Privateer R HV (High Volume) sneakers. These are well made shoes and very comfortable. Great shoes for trail running and if you are comfortable good shoes for…

Great mountain bike shoes for the money!

Longtime MTBer here. Never worn Giro MTB shoes and never ordered cycling shoes online without trying them on first. I wasn't expecting great shoes for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. These are great shoes. I wear US men's size 10 in all casual and athletic shoes. I ordered 44 of these and they fit perfectly. They even match my Winter Woolie Boolie socks. The fit is snug but not very tight in the toe box, just what I need in a mountain bike shoe. However, please note that I do not have…

Well made, looks and feels solid, too tight.

This size 48 should be a size 13.5 when converted to US sizing. I wear 13 and they were still too short and very tight. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until my feet were swollen from my first ride as they were covered in mud and worn out so I couldn't get them back (my fault). I got my specific size (48) for about half the price other sizes listed at least on Revain. I've noticed that Giro shoes tend to be very narrow even though they're listed as a regular width. I doubt ordering even a…
