. The rubber grommet on the rim had enough flexibility to form a good seal, slid right in and was held in place by three metal spring clips. The old filter had quite a bit of large debris (sticks, seeds, leaf fragments) buried in the folds, so it's obvious that the air intake in the nose of the car is doing its job of pulling fresh air out, but it's also something of a garbage vacuum. ; I'll be replacing the filter more regularly after seeing that this Spearhead seems like a solid choice. The replacement is VERY easy, search the internet for a video for your model year and don't let the dealer cheat you out of a huge amount of money for this 5 minute job!
