I bought these in my garage for various sizes and uses. The first use was to use a large chisel to cut the top off a 30 gallon keg. The drum metal was probably 16 or 18 gauge. I was able to easily carve the metal and get the job done, but once I was done I noticed the head started to grow like a mushroom, so it's not the best or hardest steel. I discussed the purchase between the OTC kit and the GearWrench kit. I have always been satisfied with GearWrench products and would now like to purchase their chisel set. They will be fine for occasional use in the garage at home.
