Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Barbara Ratyska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

On my Nissan Almera (G15), I put winter-specific wheels with Michelin X-Ice North 4 185/65 R15 92T studs that I purchased. The final iteration of the Almera had front-wheel drive. In the snow, the brakes are GOOD. On ice, use your brakes WELL. Acquired in the month of November 2022. Even though there wasn't much of a noise to begin with, it went away as soon as I started running. In nearly every respect, the winter season did not exist in Hong Kong. In point of fact, there was no snow. Whoever living in close proximity to Hong Kong will comprehend what I'm saying. The depth of the tread is 8 millimeters. On nearly snow-free roads in spring weather (i.e. wear was twice as much), the front tire wore out 25% after 11,000 kilometers, while the rear tire wore out exactly the same amount. Please pay close attention to the accompanying photograph; the spikes have rotated inward, which explains why the edges of the spikes on the front wheels have become severely worn down and sharpened. The manufacturer states that because the spikes on these tires are smaller than those on most other tires, they should be far quieter. The reason for this is that there are about twice as many spikes on these tires as there are on most other tires. AND THERE ARE EXACTLY 250 SPOKES ON THE WHEEL (I have attached a picture that was obtained from a reliable source) The end result is that you should not ride in them during the spring weather; yet, I did ride in them until the end of April. I am quite satisfied with the wheels that I purchased for the summer, which are MICHELIN Primacy 4 185/65 R15. for 18.000 rub.

Pros
  • Quiet, durable.
Cons
  • In a winter with no snow 11.000 kilometers. Not yet
