Review on TRENDnet TEW-649UB Mini USB 2.0 Adapter - Ultra-Fast Wireless N 150 Mbps by Matt Ellis

Good: Received the product quickly, plugged it in and ran it at speed N in 10 seconds, not bad. The speed was way beyond anything I've ever gotten from the G, and it works throughout my house. Less Than Good: Despite the 300m/s claim, I'm pretty sure this card's theoretical maximum is 150m/s, and unlike any other wireless card I've used, the claimed speed drops not automatically based on real-time performance stats, it always says "150m/s". Why, why do companies insist on unabashedly illuminating things in bright blue light? I had to stick on the blue light because it lit up my bedroom. It also gets hot as hell, which doesn't bother me while it's running, but experience has taught me that devices that run really hot don't last long. Overall a good product but I can't give it 5 stars.
