Better than the original... my check engine light is out!

I paid for this product in August 2016 (11 months ago) using another Revain account, but I'm reviewing it here because it's my main review site. This can solve the problem with the annoying P0456 Check Engine error. This will be my first problem with continuous engine light emissions. WHAT IS IT AND WHY DO I WANT IT?: If your check engine light is on, this could be the solution you're looking for. I have a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and my heart sank when I saw an amber light with an accompanying "ding"! Finding the real engine code (without a code reader) is easy by simply turning the key from the off position to the auxiliary position 4-5 times (this is just before it turns when the radio is turned on). Code P0456 appeared, which is a "small leak in the exhaust system". My google-fu told me it was either a leaking hose or a bad gas cap...the simple fix that many people recommended was to replace the gas cap. $20 is a cheap alternative to the cost of troubleshooting, especially when there's a chance it can be fixed right at the gate. I decided I had nothing to lose. INSTALLATION: It comes with a braid that you can use to attach it to the car. I just used pliers to pry the old one out. This showed up immediately and fitted perfectly without any problems. FUNCTION: These gas caps have a very small, if seemingly magical, recirculation future that the engine can detect. When that seal is broken, all those horrible, nasty fumes of deadly gases can escape from the environment. So instead of saying "replace the gas cap," they make you guess. Luckily the check engine light went out almost immediately when I put this on the van. If this doesn't work for you, you can reset the check engine light by simply disconnecting the battery for a good 60 seconds. You can lose your radio settings, but this will give you a clean slate on your computer. Build Quality: To be honest I can't tell any difference in build quality between the old cover and this one. It's literally as good as OEM. WHAT YOU GET: A gas cap and a piglet. WHAT YOU DON'T GET: A new car! PRICE AND VALUE: The reality is that when you go to a dealer or mechanic, it's a very small piece of the puzzle. There's a good chance they'll try to replace the gas cap anyway. So worst-case scenario, you can buy it, put it on your van, and then just tell them it's brand new when you pick it up to save them the trouble of fixing that aspect of a potential leak. At best you will be like me and solve your problem! CONCLUSION: Great replacement cap that can solve that pesky P0456 engine check issue. This will be my first problem with continuous engine light emissions.
