First, the external hardware on these locks was largely identical to the lock I was replacing. Therefore, it was easy to install and worked flawlessly. However, the security of these locks is at a low level. Even if you plan to use the keys that came with the locks, I recommend swapping the pins in those locks. I was able to pick the locks very easily, which I got by inserting the blade of a pocket knife into the key slot and twisting. The problem is that the pins in the locks are heavily rounded at the cutting line, allowing the lock to open even if the pins aren't fully aligned. This makes these locks very easy to pick and only one pin actually keeps the lock closed. This is not a secure lock.
