form and function.

This kit came in very handy when I was rebuilding my 1996 Toyota Cresta with a 1jz engine. I used it specifically for threads that had come loose on the oil pump housing. When removing the oil pump, the engine must be pulled due to its proximity to the front cross member. I didn't want that and was looking for a quick but reliable solution. In any case, it had to be strong enough to withstand the tensioning pressure of the toothed belt, because this thread made it easy to install the tensioner. These did their job! The timing belt tensioner is still holding. These thread inserts are pretty strong. I recommend practicing on a piece of scrap aluminum first because if you don't go straight you could have much more serious problems depending on what you're doing in e.g. B. thread an aluminum head. I recommend!
