Ford supplied two different threaded but outwardly similar power steering pump switches for the Ford Focus. I didn't know which one to get so I bought both and this one fits the Zetec motor. Thanks Ford. Anyway, it replaced the one on the car that ran like crazy. Tip: Make sure the car is COLD when you pull the sensor out, as it's right next to the exhaust manifold and you'll burn the back of your hand if you try to push in there. ask me how i sleep Tip #2: After installing the switch, reconnect the sensor cable to restore full functionality. Tip #3: When removing the sensor, place an oil pan under the pump to catch the drip of power steering fluid. When the pump is removed, a few ounces will come out of the pump. Tip #4: After filling the power steering reservoir, with the engine running and the vehicle stationary, rotate the wheels lock-to-lock three times. Fill the PSP reservoir and turn the steering wheel again until the power steering fluid level is steady.
