Review on Netgear AC1900 WiFi Modem Dual C6300BD by Tim Larsen

Netgear continues to be a boring company, reluctant to promote its products beyond updating the WiFi protocol. The GUI hasn't changed in years and it would be nice if it was well designed, which it isn't. Do not rely on firmware updates for this type of device. Wifi drops 50% through drywall at 6ft. But you're kind of forced to choose between several equally pathetic companies when it comes to just one solution. I anticipated this, so I'm going to turn off Wi-Fi entirely and use hotspots instead. Since I got these for the price of the modem alone, there's no loss.
